Mastic Asphalt - Flat Roof Application.

A flat roof is a style of roof used in many buildings today. In contrast to the pitched roof, a flat roof is horizontal or nearly horizontal. The materials that cover flat roofs typically allow the water to run off freely from a very slight inclination. Modern flat roofs tend to use a continuous membrane covering which can better resist pools of standing water. These systems are applied as a continuous pour where possible. Mastic Asphalt has proven to move with the building and allow for large temperature changes, essential for the type of weather that is pertinent to New Zealand environment.
